Key University Partners

The department of Art has long engaged in international collaboration with research partners from around the world. The Department is continuously seeking out new relationships with key partners in research activities around the globe, including universities that have corresponding areas of research. We encourage and support the exchange of researchers and doctoral students. And, we are especially interested in institutions around the Baltic Sea where cooperation is at an advanced level and based on a cultural foundation historically shared by the various countries.

Some of the current key international university partnerships include

The Ohio State University

Penn State University

Arizona State University

Goldsmiths University of London

Universität der Künst, Berlin

University of Granada

University of Arts, London

University College of Arts, Craft and Design, Sweden

Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Science

Aalborg University

University of New South Wales

In addition, Nordic and Finnish networks such as CAVIC and FADS, and programs such as Hollo‑Instituutti have brought together researchers from across Northern Europe and been an integral part of the Department of Art’s work.
